The history of Safitel Chad traces back to its origins as Sudachad Telecom. Established through a strategic partnership with Sudatel, a Sudanese telecommunications company renowned for its global reputation since 1993, Sudachad Telecom played a key role in developing fiber optic infrastructure in Chad. Through this partnership, the company successfully connected more than 12 cities across the country, offering fiber-based communication solutions to a diverse range of clients, including telecom operators, internet service providers (ISPs), businesses, governments, and international organizations.

 As Sudachad Telecom, the company was instrumental in modernizing telecommunications in Chad, providing innovative and reliable solutions at competitive prices. This partnership enabled the country to access advanced connectivity infrastructure, overcoming the challenges posed by Chad’s landlocked geographical position. Through these achievements, the company laid the groundwork for what would become the next phase in its history.

In February 2024, Sudachad Telecom became Safitel Chad, marking a significant turning point in its history. This change was more than just a name change—it represented a true transition to deploy the latest technology edge. Safitel Chad embodies the commitment of making Chad the terrestrial hub to Central Africa region.

Safitel’s mission is to further develop telecommunications infrastructure, with strategic fiber optic connections linking Chad to its neighbors to have access to submarine cables connectivity.
